Narissa Timbery is an Aboriginal woman, her family is from the Yuin Nation on the South Coast of New South Wales. In 2005 she completed a Master of Information Management and Systems (MIMS) at Monash University. Following that, she worked part-time at the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies for almost 5 years. Through this and her personal experiences she developed a strong desire to connect families and archival material in a way that best suits their needs. Currently Narissa is a doctoral candidate at Monash University.
